I’m Back From My Wedding
After a two week digital detox from JESSIPES, I’m back from my wedding in Menorca, where I had the best week of my life surrounded by so many amazing people who came to celebrate with us from all corners of the globe.
My wedding was on the 25th June, and we had events planned for the days leading up to the big day so everyone could mingle, make friends and acclimatise to the Mediterranean heat.
This first photo was taken on my hen do where the theme was “boho bride tribe”. I was taken to my favourite beach where a big group of friendly faces were waiting for me with bubbles in hand. We then went to a gorgeous townhouse with a pool, just down the road from my mum’s farmhouse on the south of the island and that’s where we spent the rest of the afternoon.
We had a hair flower garland making workshop using wildflowers from the island, we enjoyed the most delicious healthy brunch that my bridesmaids threw together which consisted of DIY bean and salad wraps, melon on lolly sticks, Greek salad on sticks and tons of other edible yummies, we listened to music around the pool, applied gold transfers to our bodies which looked amazing, and had a bubble machine blowing bubbles all day. We played the toilet paper bride game with the four engaged ladies in the party and people got so creative with toilet paper and white plastic bags. To finish up, we played Mr and Mrs which was SO much fun!
We then had a getting ready break, the girls got dressed all in black, and I was in white, and we went for dinner at the local vineyard where we enjoyed the most delicious meal surrounded by grapes and sipped on G&T’s with juniper berries. It was just perfect, and I couldn’t have asked for a more special, Jessie-style day. The girls know me so well.
On the Wednesday before the wedding, we organised a big sunset safari for 50 people, where we went to a gorgeous beach, we visited a limestone quarry and then we finished up watching the sun go down with a flamenco dancer, two Spanish guitarists and a picnic basket each – it was magical and one of those moments in life when you want to hit the pause button for a long time to allow you to savour the moment and soak up every ounce of the experience.
This was the sunset scene while we were sat on cushions overlooking the water while the sun was setting, the dancer was so beautiful, and we had the two guitarists play on our wedding day three days later as they played so gorgeously together.
On Saturday 25th, this was the scene before I walked down the aisle. We had everyone perched on a chair, on a hay bail or under the pergola in the shade, and everyone had a seaside view. The sky was bright blue, and there was a slight breeze in the air, the sea was turquoise in colour, and it was just perfect and the most stunning setting for our ceremony, which we wrote ourselves with the incredible help of a very good friend who gave us away.
These were some of my best girlfriends, all looking gorgeous.
All the single ladies got the opportunity to catch my bourgenvilla bouquet, it was my little sister who is aged nine that ended up catching it, way to go Cara!
And this was Tom and me on the walk back from the wedding ceremony, back up to the wedding farmhouse.
This was Tom and me, making friends with some local cows before we arrived at the wedding house 😉
And this was us taking a couple of minutes to soak in the day and be in love.
My mum had organised for two fiesta horses to surprise Tom and me when we got back up to the wedding house after the walk up from the beach where our ceremony was which was amazing as a lot of our friends and family had never visited the island before and the Spanish are famous for their horses. They were the most majestic pair of horses, and they performed some amazing tricks for us. It was just the most idyllic way to start the wedding party off!
I made a speech, and my maid of honour made a brilliant speech – girl power!
We then made our way to our Arabian tent for some paella, more speeches and sunsets, before heading to the woods which was lit up with pink/ purple lighting where we had our cheesy first dance and a night full of amazing music and dancing until the early hours.
And that’s a wrap. I’m now Mrs Jessica Lee Dyer, and I couldn’t be happier for this next chapter in my life.
I am so grateful to everyone that made the week so perfect for Tom and I, and am more determined than ever to bring you health and happiness through my talks, videos, blog writing, and events or partnering up with me in business and would like to thank you for adding to my life, even if I haven’t met you yet.
The 10 days away reminded me just how needed taking time out from our busy lives is and surrounding yourselves with people who you love you and are rooting for your success.
With love in abundance,
