Beets, Carrot & Orange Juice
This is my favourite beets juice! I made it this weekend when some of my girlfriends came round for brunch and I made a great big batch which was surplus to brunching requirements so I enjoyed an unexpected juice detox over the weekend! Serve the juice in a wine glasses for a T-Total night in 😉
Usually I drink this beets juice in the morning ahead of a workout if I’m needing a bit of energy as it contains a great combination of natural sugars from the beetroot, orange and carrots along with vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, potassium, calcium and magnesium so it’s perfect ahead of a sweaty session in the gym from a stamina and recovery point of view. It’s also great if you’re just trying to find a tasty way of upping your nutritional intake or you enjoy juicing fullstop.
Beetroot was traditionally used to heal people but taste-wise it can be quite earthy so paired up with the orange, carrot and ginger really balances the flavour and makes it really delicious. There’s nothing that beats an amazing juice, within minutes it perks you up energy-wise and you just feel incredible so it’s worth having a few recipes up your sleeves, especially at the moment when I know so many people with colds and the flu. Increasing your antioxidant intake fortifies your immune system and means that you’re MUCH less likely to get run down or catch the latest virus that’s doing the rounds.
Personally I add more ginger in than I’ve put in the recipe as I like my juices to have a bit of a punch, but you can always add more if you feel you’d enjoy the addition of some spicy kick!

- 2.5cm piece of fresh root ginger, peeled
- 2 oranges, peeled
- 5 carrots, ends removed
- 2 small fresh beetroots (small to medium have the sweeetest flavour), scrubbed
- Wash all your ingredients and peel where instructed. Juice them one by one in the order they are listed and serve chilled or enjoy over ice.
