Pimped up ice cubes

Aug 14, 2014

To make plain water that little bit more exciting to drink and look at and to keep you cool in this gorgeous hot weather I’d like to welcome you into the world of pimped up ice cubes. They are a perfect activity to get the kids involved with but if you’re a big kid yourself (like me) and enjoy the little things in life then they’re worth every second of the few minutes of effort involved preparing them.

As the ice cubes melt, the subtle flavours and natural nutrients from the fresh fruits, herbs, spices and veggies will naturally diffuse into your water making your taste buds happy but also giving you some added nutritional goodness.

  1. Chop up your fruit , vegetables, herbs and spices into ice cube sized pieces or puree them in a blender
  2. Add your blend to your ice cube trays with water and freeze
  3. Drop your ice cubes into your glass of water, sip and enjoy.
  4. Once your ice cube has thawed and you’ve reached finished the glass, enjoy the defrosted fruit or veggies.

I love seeing them!
